Father and son chef duo, Ed and Andrew Westerlund, work as a team to design creative dishes using classic, globally-inspired techniques and flavors.

 

THE TEAM

Chef Ed Westerlund has over 40 years of experience in the culinary industry including studies at the Culinary Institute of America in New York. He was the Executive Chef at the Sandpiper in Holland and Test Kitchen Chef at Gordon Food Services.  Now he and his son, Andrew, work side-by-side in the kitchen and as owners of Waverly Stone Gastropub in Downtown Holland. Much of the inspiration for our pub menu is from Chef Ed’s annual travels to New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago while working as a Test Kitchen Chef.

CHEF ED WESTERLUND

 Executive Chef / Father

Andrew Westerlund was born and raised in Holland, Michigan. From a young age, he had a knack for flavor, comfort in the kitchen, and passion for hospitality. He pursued software engineering professionally while privately creating unique and inspiring dishes in his kitchen for family and friends and explored different business ventures.  In 2018, he combined his entrepreneurial spirit with his passion for food and hospitality as the Director of Operations and Sous Chef at Waverly Stone Gastropub.
